Dermalift

What is Dermalift?
Dermalift is a treatment system utilizing an innovative, painless technique to stimulate cellular renewal and increase the skin’s collagen production. Dead skin cells on the epidermis surface are removed, allowing new cells to rise to the surface, creating a firmer, toned, smoother, and brighter complexion.

How does it work?
This German made machine utilizes a hand held applicator. The applicator’s carrier panel is studded with microcones that spin at 3000+ rpm, creating painless stimulation of the epidermis. Each applicator is individually packed in a sterile container and replaced after every client and treatment. The treatment is completely hygienic. During the treatment, the applicator is moved over the contours of the client’s face, with special attention paid to areas of concern such as fine lines on the forehead, large pores on the T-zone, acne scars, sun damage, or hyperpigmentation. At the same time, a cocktail of serums will be infused into the skin, resulting in luminous, age defying results. Dermalift is a purely mechanical method, and does not use electricity on the skin.

What are the benefits of Dermalift?
Dermalift stimulates the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, which are the building blocks of youthful looking skin. This approach is far more effective than applying collagen or elastin topically on the skin via creams or serums, and far less invasive than injections of foreign substances that are not naturally produced by the body. Once the dead surface cells are removed and the skin is stimulated, any product applied will be penetrated faster, to a deeper layer of the skin, and in larger amounts. Skin will appear to be lifted and toned along the jawline and cheekbones, expression lines on the forehead appear to be smoother, lines around the mouth are plumped, large pores are minimized, uneven skin tone (from sun damage, acne scars, etc) becomes more uniform in appearance. There is no downtime required with Dermalift. Clients will not leave with red, blotchy skin and can even attend a special event the same day.

Is Dermalift a suitable treatment for my skin?
Dermalift is a safe and effective treatment designed for those concerned with any of the following: fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne scars, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, loss of skin firmness and elasticity, and uneven skin tone. Any skin type (dry, combination, oily) can be treated with Dermalift. It is not a suitable treatment for those with inflamed acne, rosacea, or extremely thin and reactive skins.

How does Dermalift differ from other skin rejuvenation treatments?
Dermalift is a purely mechanical system that does not use heat, extreme cold, or electricity to stimulate the skin. Laser treatments can be extremely painful, often resulting in a burning or freezing sensation on the skin. Downtime is often necessary, with patients required to stay at home for an extended period. Facial injections can also be very invasive and painful, with patients obliged to stay home until redness and swelling has subsided. In contrast, Dermalift is a comfortable, painless, low risk treatment that requires no downtime. Clients will not experience any burning feeling during the treatment.

Are there any side effects with Dermalift?
Side effects may include dryness or tightness of the skin in the days following treatment.  More sensitive skins may experience puffiness or redness the same day. This should subside within a few hours to a day.

Is there aftercare required with Dermalift?
Sun protection is a must following the Dermalift treatment, with an SPF 30 being ideal. Skincare products with an exfoliating effect such as AHAs, BHAs, or retinol are to be avoided for a minimum of a few days. Skin cannot be treated with glycolic peels or any other aggressive exfoliant for at least a week. Facial injections or any other invasive skincare procedure are to be postponed for a minimum of a week. As a precaution, we recommend clients avoid face waxing, and activities that require spending extended periods outdoors such as gardening, swimming, golfing, etc for at least 3 days.
bHow often should I come in for Dermalift?
For optimal results, we recommend a series of five to ten treatments with an interval of 10 to 21 days between sessions.

What is the duration of the Dermalift treatment?
At Merveille Spa, Dermalift is incorporated into a complete facial protocol including cleansing, massage, and a mask. The Dermalift machine portion of the treatment is ten minutes, while the full treatment is approximately 75 to 90 minutes.

How soon will I see results with Dermalift?
Most clients will notice a visible improvement in skin’s texture and brightness the day of the treatment. However, the full benefits will not be visible until about five to seven days post treatment, as this time is needed for regenerated cells to rise to the skin’s surface. Clients will notice improvement in their skin’s overall appearance every day for about a week post treatment.  With a series, results are cumulative and will grow and become increasingly visible over the next weeks and months.
